Why is it that guys are more willing to show bare flesh from the torso up, but usually not the legs?
Let me clarify this: it seems that there is a trend of some cool dudes where they are more willing to "rip off" their shirt and walk around naked from the torso up but usually they're wearing baggy jeans. It is not usual for the jeans to be shorts. Usually if the top comes off, it's baggy long jeans. Why? Are guys ashamed of their legs?
Wow! That's really interesting. Guys tend to be ashamed of their hairy legs but see shaving as effeminate? What a conundrum!
Have you seen the average man's legs? It's generally not an attractive sight. They are shaped for working and the sometimes thick hair doesn't help either.

What exactly is cellulitis infection?
Cellulitis is a bacterial infection that spreads easily under the skin surface within the tissue. People of all races and sexes are equally as vulnerable to infection. Although, people with an immune system that has been weakened by chemotherapy for example, or diabetes sufferers are even more likely to develop this bacterial infection.
What are the symptoms?
The usual symptoms to look out for if you are concerned you may have the infection are swelling and redness of the skin that begins in a small patch of the skin. The most common site for this infection is the legs. This area of skin will feel very sensitive and the red swollen area will gradually increases in size. Unfortunately along with the growth of this irritation, the person might suffer a fever that comes in the form of sweats and chills combined. Another noticeable symptom that the person may suffer is swollen gland or as they are also known as swollen lymph nodes, which will occur close to the area of, affected and irritated skin.
Sometimes the infection can be confused with other inflammation symptoms, for example bad circulation in the legs, which often show up as patchy redness around the areas of the shins and ankles. These symptoms of bad circulation are actually named "stasis dermatitis".
Another similar infection that is commonly confused with cellulitis is impetigo, however it involves the more profound layers of skin. The bacteria normally form within the subcutaneous and the dermis tissue.
The principal causing bacteria is called Staphylococcus ("staph"), which is the same bacteria that can be the cause of impetigo, but there are additional bacteria that can also cause cellulitis.
What are the causes of infection?
Most cases are cause by the two bacteria culprits staph (Staphylococcus) or strep (Streptococcus) bacteria.
The most common of the two to cause cellulitis is Staph (Staphylococcus aureus) . This is due to the increasing problem of methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA), that is spreading particularly hospitals and treatment centres and is very dangerous because it is resistant to most antibiotics and is very complex to treat.
Strep (usually group A or B Streptococcus), the other general cause, is identified with the symptoms of hot, bright red enclosed area on the skin featuring a sharp raised border which rapidly spreads all over the body. This bacteria is commonly called "flesh-eating bacteria" can sometimes rapidly destroy living tissues, so it is more harmful.
There are various other types of bacteria that can cause this infection. For children under 6 years of age, the H. flu (Hemophilus influenzae) bacteria can cause the infection, particularly on the arms, face and upper torso. It ca be caught from a bite off a domestic pet such as a cat or dog because of the Pasteurella multocida bacteria. This bacteria type has a very short growth period of merely between 4 and 24 hours. More examples of this bacteria are Aeromonas hydrophilia or Vibrio vulnificushich can evolve after freshwater or seawater exposure. Puncture wounds can also provoke infection because another type of bacteria known as Pseudomonas aeruginosa can enter the skin.
