How can I dress better (17 year old Asian guy)?

Hey I'm 17 asian guy. I've got a muscular build but I'm slightly on the skinny side. I live in socal. I was wondering how I can learn to dress better. I don't dress terribly, but I want to pick up my style. I usually wear slightly skinnier jeans with either a v-neck or tshirt. Sometimes I wear collared or dress shirts. I like to wear a sweater on top. Is there a website I can go where I can see guys dressed up in different styles etc kinda like the mannequins in stores? And also what are some good stores to shop at? I used to shop at A n F a lot but i've stopped. I tend to shop at stores like H&M, urban outfitters, Pac sun, gap, and American apparel. Money is not too big of an issue but is still a consideration. And one final thing, how can I learn more about fashion? For example I never knew about things such as raw jeans until my friend showed me his. How can I learn more about these kinds of things? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't really know you, or how you dress, but urban outfitters is a good start for decent style, pac sun not too much same with gap and american apparel. But what I would recommend, depending where you live try finding boutique places around your city, look for places that sell clothes from independent designers, you'll get things that are crazy or trippy or cool you can really find anything and most the time it's close to one of a kind, you'll probably never see someone wearing the same thing you have if you go to places, some of the ones around me are like metro and red light, even this place called buffalo exchange is really good, kinda look for fashionable areas of your city and they'll have fashionable things. To learn about fashion, look at fashion magazines, study art, don't pay attention to labels, kinda look at trends some though, just do whatevers you though, don't get something because you think it's fashionable, cause with stores like A & F and gap and pac sun, a lot of people find that fashionable it's really not, it's very unfashionable actually. But yeah get stuff because it's cool and you like it and you'll probably be good. Or just shop online you'll find a ton of stuff.
And for sure try staying away from Ed Hardy and Christian stuff, it's pretty tacky and it's everywhere, everyone wears it, his designs kinda suck but no one seems to notice how simple and ugly they are, if you end up getting their stuff don't go over board a pair of shoes from him is alright, or some shirts, but if you have whole outfits goin on from him, looks terrible, kinda try to stay away from designers like him if youre trying to be fashionable he's like the oppisite, a few years ago they were alright now their just getting bad...
You don't have to take my opinion, I was voted most 'hip' person at my school so I kinda got an idea on that stuff but always take your own advice its better than anybody elses.
