Did Eddie fire Sam?

Is it true that it was Eddie Macquire who fired Sam Newman from the footy Show?

I mean, we all know the story ..

***Sam Newman is not on the Footy Show as he was ordered by Channel Nine to take an extended break from TV and have counselling about his attitude to women.

It follows community outrage over his manhandling of a lingerie-clad mannequin- to which he had fastened a photo of Age journalist Caroline Wilson's head- on TV last month***

They say he was told to stand down by "Channel Nine Execs"

Doesn't "Channel Nine Execs" equal Eddie??
Like I said Romper, we all know the story.. Im just after the "behind the story" story

Eddie doesn't have a very high role at channel 9 anymore. He only makes TV appearances now and focuses on Collingwood and his media career in quiz shows, etc. I don't think Sam was 'fired' he was told to have a break by the executives, which Eddie isn't really a part of anymore...

We are being constantly bombarded day after day with expectations of what we should look like, speak like and what we need to wear to attract the attention of the opposite sex. We are told what size is perfect and walk into clothing stores where we see unrealistic mannequins that showcase the latest clothing to wear.

With a positive or healthy body image, men and women have a real perception of their size and shape. They feel happy with their body, comfortable in their own skin. With a negative body image, a person has a distorted perception of their shape and size, compares their body to others, and feels shame and anxiety about their body. Being unhappy with your body can affect how you think and feel about yourself as a person. A poor body image can lead to emotional distress, low self-esteem, unhealthy dieting habits, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. Developing a positive body image and a healthy mental attitude is crucial to a persons happiness and wellness.

Flicking through magazines, driving past bill boards and measuring ourselves against TV personalities, we constantly torment ourselves by comparing ourselves with all of these unrealistic images, and find areas of our body that we are not happy with. Our harshest critic is almost always ourselves.

But something needs to happen, until we except our unique body shape - our self esteem will continued to be battered. We need to stand up for our body shapes.

Being a personal stylist, I am fortunate to see that women and men come in every shape and size. I think that is beautiful and it is definitely something to celebrate. One by one I have been able to pass my passion on to my clients. The message needs to get out there - we have real bodies - we need to give ourselves a break! Not all of us are going to fit into what runway models are wearing, or what is hanging on the mannequin in the store. We need to find what suits our unique body shape and size.

So I encourage you to make a decision to love yourself and your body shape today!
