I suggest you write to the website and find out if any of their gowns are available in the United States. Usually they are and can be found but it will take a fair amount of research. You can also print out the picture of that dress and have it made. Sometimes you can request a Designer Replica dress (without designer label) and get it up to 50% off the regular retail price.
Wedding Dresses and the Importance of White Color
With white color symbolizing the purity of the bride, the history of wedding dresses in various forms of colors started. It was a tradition to wear white by the bride on her wedding day which was seemed as the symbol that the bride is untouched for her husband. In past, marriages were often arranged and it was only during the wedding itself that the bridegroom was able to see the bride for the first time. The tradition of arrange marriage was often sensed as some sort of contract between two families to consolidate power, wealth or land between them. Wedding in old days was a union between two families, two businesses or even two countries in which the brides used to dress in white rich color wedding dress made through exclusive fabrics with layers of furs, velvet and silk.
Cheap wedding gowns in older days were made with the boldest and richest material money could buy in order to show off the social status of bride's family. Everything bought for the wedding was directly connected to the social standing of bride's family while bride's belonging to lower income classes used their best church dress on their wedding day. But as new generations came new thinking and new changes started taking place. Marriages were often love marriages and the whole process of the bridegroom lifting the veil and seeing the bride for the first time dramatically changed. Today any bride could purchase wedding dresses as they are available in all price ranges. Readymade have topped the list with various colors, shapes and sizes. Today white is not the only color used for making dresses for the bride infect they include a rainbow of colors and variety of lengths, which are now considered acceptable. All stores have samples of wedding gowns in their stores so that the bride can try it to get fully convinced and satisfied before purchasing it. There are tailors and designers who specialize in making unique dresses so now the bride only has to choose the color, size and pattern of her dress and simply put an order to make one.
Bridal gowns way back in 1920s were used to be short in the front with a longer train in the back. With the trend changing long, full-skirted started dominating the bridal market. Though the trend keeps changing according to the latest fashion, the trend of making long train in back still remains the same. The bridal train had its own importance during the middle centuries when kidnappings of brides were frequent and so the bridal dress was made long and flowing to cover up the tracks of the bride and the bridegroom.
In the 19th century, brides in Finland used to wear wedding dresses in dark colors. Though colors like black and gray are considered as depressing and connected with sad occasions, brides of modern day world have seen to like their dresses in such colors too. The traditions are still continued to be followed in modern days, white color is still considered to be the evergreen color.
