What can I use to cheaply and effectively display a t-shirt at a charity auciton?
It needs to be 1) cheap; 2) portable; 3) free standing; 4) short (i.e., stand on a table, not on floor). Looking around, all I see are mannequin torsos (which are pricey - this is a charity after all!) and things like display racks, basically plastic bins you stick the shirts in, or things that are on hooks or hangers, but I'd have nothing to hang them from.
I'd like to have one or two on a human-type figures (or at least, on a hanger thing with shoulders so you could see how it hangs) on the cheap. We'll have many shirts for sale but limited designs, so rather than have everyone pawing through the stack of shirts, we'd like to have one displayed for all to see and then we can just hand out the appropriate size when they're ready to buy.
Anyone who works retail, has a shop or has sales at outdoor weekend events or craft fairs or the like that has any suggestions for products or solutions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
well, if you really want to do it cheaply, i suggest that you find a cardboard box, paint it and find some of that styrofoam, (like the kind that comes in boxes protecting computers) and glue it to the box, or cut out pieces of the box and make a triangle thing and then pin up the shirt to the styrofoam. i dont' know that's what i would do. but you have to make it look nice... not like some piece of crap.
