Why do most white female actresses have factory beauty?
I mean they all look very commercialized and the same in some sense. Even the young ones like Miley Cyrus and Megan Fox. They have the same, hair styles, same makeup, same clothing, same everything. When it comes to black female actresses there is much variety from the way they style their hair, their look, and the way they dress.
It is not that these white women coincidentally look like each other, it is that they are given these positions because they fit this social ideal of female beauty (social ideal, not necessarily real). White, middle class (or passing as such), thin, gender conforming, etc. is the stereotype. Women actresses who deviate from this type of course are more various in their appearances and behaviors. Sadly, being a black woman, especially a dark skinned black woman is considered to be deviating from that cultural standard, so black female actresses are all among those who vary in some way from that hollywood norm of beauty.
