Can I put a foyer pendant light above my diningroom table?
I like the looks of those hanging foyer pendant lights and would like to hang one above my diningroom table instead of a traditional chandelier. I wondering, from a design point of view, whether it will look completely out of place and odd or will set a tone of the style that I like?
Hey, if you can build the room around that pendant, there's nothing wrong with it- it's your house. It's not as though the design police are going to barge into your house and shout, "I cast thee out!" I have one of those wrought-iron entrance mats in the doorway that leads down into my sunken kitchen. It's meant for a front door, but it works perfectly where I put it. That's one of the best parts of moving into a new home- seeing what works where. Have fun with it!
