While babysitting my friends plants, the top of my wood table turned white from the plant water. The fix?
The plants sat on a towel on the tabletop for 3 days so the bleached white is a result of several days of water absorption. My table is walnut wood. What do I use to restore the wood and take out the bleach spots?
I would try washing your table top with a mild soap and water until the white disappears. Usually this white spot is from the water reacting with the old wax that is on the table. A solution of mild soap and water will remove the old layers of wax and then you can put a fresh coat of wax back on after the top has dried.
You could also try polishing it with lemon oil.
